The funicular runs from June 30th through until September 1st and takes around 7 minutes. The lift pass tariff (which includes the funicular) for summer 2007 is:

Area Price
7 days Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry €65
Paradiski ( Vanoise Express and Montchavin les Coches/La Plagne - excluding the la Plagne glacier) €77

Biking in Les Arcs is characterised by tons of flowing singletrack and some amazing natural and built downhill. The Cachette Downhill Piste at Arc 1600 is one of the three venues for the Sprint Avalanche Trophy (30th June / 1st July). Loads of trails and far fewer package tour visitors than Morzine makes Les Arcs a hidden gem for serious and not so serious riders alike.

Tignes is just 40km up the valley and offers natural downhill riding, good cross country and sweeping freeride opportunities. You might consider getting dropped at Tignes in the morning and biking all the way back down the valley to a few welcoming beers in Bourg-Saint-Maurice.
